1. Terms of Service

By installing or using Clarik (the "Software"), you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the Software.

Not Affiliated with Anthropic: Clarik is an independent, community-built tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with Anthropic PBC in any way. Claude® and Claude Desktop® are registered trademarks of Anthropic PBC.
License Model: The Software is licensed under the MIT License for free features. Pro features require a valid, personal, non-transferable license key purchased through our authorized merchant (Gumroad). You may not redistribute, resell, or share Pro license keys with third parties.
Zero Warranty: The Software is provided "as-is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. The developers shall not be liable for any damages, token costs, or data incidents resulting from the use of this Software.
Savings Estimates: Average monthly savings estimates ($47–73/month) are illustrative indicators based on standard developer usage profiles. Actual savings vary widely based on your particular query frequency, project size, model choices, and API billing rates, and are not guarantees of performance.
Refund Policy: Licenses are governed by Gumroad's standard terms. If Clarik does not meet your needs, contact support within 7 days of purchase for refund exceptions.

2. Privacy Policy

We believe in absolute developer privacy. That is why Clarik is architected from the ground up as a local-first application.

Local-First Storage: All learning logs, active indexing files, recall vectors, configuration states, and codebase maps are stored completely locally on your machine inside the ~/.clarik/ folder.
No Telemetry: We do not deploy telemetry, background tracking, analytics, or error reporting scripts to any external servers. We do not gather, store, or sell any personal information or codebase contents.
Third-Party Integrations: Your codebase data is read locally and shared solely with the Anthropic API through your own secure, direct interactions in Claude Desktop or Claude Code. Clarik does not act as a proxy or intermediary server.
License Verification: To validate your license key, a secure verification check is executed against Gumroad. If offline, the software will leverage local grace indicators for up to 30 days to ensure zero disruption to your development environment.
